About Library


The name of the Library is called Chin Christian University Library. The Library keeps books such as, biblical, theological, historical, religious, philosophical, English, Business, other Christian literature and educational books. The Library has over 13000 volumes of books, various theological journals (both print and non-print) are available for the users. A total collection of 90% are in English, 8 % in Myanmar and 2 % are in Chin. The building provides internet access. The Library aims and purpose is “Education for Abundant Life” as it is the University’s aims and purpose.

Rules & Regulation

The Library rules are as the followings:
1. Library will be opened from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM on all the University working days.
2. A student shall attend Library according to the Library hours given in the curriculum.
3. Students, faculty, staff and alumni of CCU, local church pastors and ministers, students from other colleges and university in Hakha are allowed to use CCU Library.
4. Only students, faculty and staff of CCU, local church pastors and ministers are allowed checking out the books.
5. Users must produce his/her identity card at the time of borrowing.
6. No book may be taken from Library without being charged.
7. Users are allowed to check out books as the followings.
     a. Faculty - 10 books at a time for 60 days
     b. Visiting/part time teacher - 10 books at a time for 30 days
     c. Staff - 5 books at a time for 30 days
     d. Final student - 6 books at a time for 15 days
     e. Junior theology student - 4 books at a time for 15 days
     f. Junior Business and English student - 3 books at a time for 15 days
8. All users should return books before or on the due date.
9. Extension for borrowed books – permitted seven days.
10. Fines for over-due book will be charged at the rate of kyats 500 per day for each book.
11. If the borrowed books is lost or damage, it shall be replaced, or if it cannot be replaced a triple amount of the price shall be charged.
12. No reference books, magazines and periodical are to be borrowed.
13. A graduating student shall return their borrowed books before graduation.
14. All the borrowed books must be returned before the final examination.
15. Marking, underlining, drawing and extra writing on the book with pen or pencil must be avoided.
16. Silence should be strictly maintained in and around the Library.
17. Mobile phone should be kept in silent mode in the Library
18. Students must keep quiet and are expected to put chairs back in the right place.
